— Common questions

Things clients ask us.

Composite is lower maintenance; hardwood ages in and looks better over time. We'll show samples of both.

Not with a grooved or brushed finish laid with drainage gaps. We specify based on orientation.

A correctly built hardwood deck outlasts 30 years. Composite carries 25-year manufacturer warranties.

Only if the deck platform is over 300mm above ground or close to a boundary. We advise at survey.

Yes — low-voltage LED strips under nosings, step risers and perimeters are our standard detail.

We're happy to survey existing decks and remedy rather than replace where it's sound underneath.
